May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the US and as the unofficial start to summer begins Memorial Day weekend, we encourage you toeducate yourself about the sun.
Whether you’re at the beach or in the garden, be sure to wear sunscreen and check your skin regularly as early detection is key! National Sun Safety Week is June 5 – 11. Don’t forget about protecting your eyes from the sun! I always wear sunglasses and it’s not just to look good.
Also consider wearing a wide brimmed hat, such as aTilley, which includes UPF protection just like Dr. Allan Armitage. #PerDrA
UpShoot co-hort John Lewis of JLPN recently shipped trees to Bedford, New York to be planted by Martha Stewart at her farm.
Martha featured JLPN in several blog posts you can read here: Planting Many Many
Trees at the Farm Potting Thousands of Trees
Martha also posted about the allee she planted utilizing Marleys Pink Styrax, anew pink weeping Japanese Snowbellintroduced by JLPN and represented by UpShoot. It is named for John’s daughter Marley and provides a bounty of fragrant blooms each spring. Planting an Allee
at the Farm
We look forward to following the progress of the Marleys Pink allee and all the trees from JLPN on Martha’s Farm.
