We’re Back…and more passionate
about new plants than ever!
UpShoot is our name, new plants are our game! While I describe UpShoot as a butique horticultural marketing firm specializing in new plant introductions and gardening related products, new plants are the foundation of our company.
While I am honored to perform brand ambassador and marketing work for great plant companies like J. Berry Nursery, Concept Plants, Plantipp, Native Roots and Chick Charms, UpShoot also works with many plantsmen and breeders helping them introduce their plants to the trade and consumer markets. We’ll do everything from plant trials to writing and applying for patents and trademarks, grower licensing, royalty collection and marketing.
We have many exciting UpShoot plants we’ll be introducing and featuring in 2018. Read about them here in our latest enews to our grower partners including but not limited to:
Mademoiselle Ilex |
Fire King Carpinus |
Lemon Ice Weigela |
Virginian Arb |
See You in the New Year!
Want to connect in person? You’ll find UpShoot at the following winter trade shows:
Both Katie Elzer-Peters and I will be at #MANTS2017 (she has never been!) in Baltimore. I’ll be stationed in the HIP Labels booth 1302/1304 and/or visiting clients on the show floor. Katie will be at MANTS to meet, greet and introduce herself to UpShoot growers and breeders. Both of us look forward to meeting up with garden writers too at the Media Reception or GWA Connect Meeting!
From Maryland I’ll be heading to Columbus to attend the MGIX on Mon./Tues. January 15 and 16.
Finally, I’ll be in Greensboro, North Carolina where UpShoot will be exhibiting in booth 641 at the Green and Growin’ show featuring breeder Phil Dark and his new Prince Charles Gardenia. You can also join Brienne Arthur and myself at the GWA Connect Meeting!
This, That and the Other
Did you visit our booth at #GWA2017 in Buffalo? If you picked up samples of plants or products be sure to send us photos, reviews and/or tag us in your social posts please!
If natives + perennials trip your gardening trigger, then I need to introduce you to our newest marketing client Native Roots and their new native seed genetics.
Congrats to Bobbie Schwartz, GWA Member and fellow Buckeye, on her first book Garden Renovation! Here is our press release on this new gardening title available now!]]>
