We have a knack for finding new plants—and for nourishing those new plants into successful products. Quality, independent garden centers and chain stores as well as local landscapers carry our line of woody ornamental shrubs and trees.

Our new plant business started in 1977 when Jim Zampini secured a patent for the Weeping Candied Apple™ crabapple tree. Over the years, his patented and trademarked plants multiplied and grew into LCN Selections, a line of over 200 reliable, beautiful plants from Jim himself and breeders around the world. In addition to LCN Selections, we represent a diverse selection of other new plants, each of which adds beauty to the landscape.

Plants are sold wholesale through a network of licensed growers, and we work with them to ensure that the plants we represent are a success. We get to know our growers on a personal level—visiting them and learning everything we can about their business—so that we can match their needs and those of their customers to our new plants. If you’re interested in becoming one of our licensed growers, or if you have discovered a new plant, please contact us.

Let UpShoot help your new plant become a best seller.

Plantation Springs Nursery

From plantsman Frank Case of Plantation Springs Nursery, Virginian is an improvement for both growers and consumers. Compared to Green Giant, it produces a shorter but more thick and full liner but growers just as fast as Green Giant. From the consumer end it will maintain a smaller mature size.

JN Selections

We’re excited to be working with well-known breeder Mike Yanny of JN Plant Selections. We’re representing multiple selected natives from Mike, all having improved characteristics over the species and cultivats including Carpinus, Aesculus and Cephalanthus. Mike has many other selected natives under test with us too.
